BHI Energy (BHI) announced today that Eugene (Mike) Roberts has been promoted to Director of Digital Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Services. In this position, Mike will provide stakeholder management of assigned nuclear and non-nuclear clients for safe and effective maintenance, including but not limited to, valve and I&C services. He will be responsible for building and maintaining positive client relations with executive management, ensuring needs are met in the areas of project milestones, performance and production. Mike is currently supporting the NextEra fleet’s Radiation Monitoring System Upgrades as a Test Engineer/Director at Turkey Point and Point Beach nuclear sites.
Mike brings to BHI a wealth of knowledge and expertise in PWR and BWR systems with a proven track record in project completion. He most recently worked for BHI as I&C Coordinator at Vogtle 3&4, which included start-up and testing of all instrumentation and systems onsite. Prior to that, Mike worked in Digital Upgrade Support at AEP’s DC Cook site, where he supported projects including replacement upgrades in the Reactor Controls Instrumentation System, Feedwater Regulation System, Radiation Monitoring System and Solid-State Protection System.
Mike previously served in the United States Navy where he started his career in electronics and supervision. He holds various qualifications and certifications within the nuclear industry, including a Subject Matter Expert and Instructing Certificate for BHI’s Specialty Services Division. He is based out of the West Palm Beach, FL office.
