PBS for Loose Surface Contamination at Idaho DOE Site

PBS coating fixative was used to lock down loose surface contamination on reactor surfaces at the Idaho DOE Test area, applied on large and small overhead components, expanses of metal and concrete surfaces and in confined spaces such as tunnels and trenches.  Color coding of PBS allowed the segregation of contaminated components to be picked from building debris and disposed of in accordance with site procedures.  PBS can be hand sprayed with a nozzle gun, rolled or brushed onto surfaces.
