Richard Crutcher Joins BHI as Director of MMC Services for NextEra South

BHI Energy (BHI) welcomes Richard Crutcher to the organization as Director of MMC Services for NextEra South, including the contracts at St. Lucie and Turkey Point Nuclear Power Facilities. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring online and outage implementation in accordance with BHI and NextEra processes, customer relations and performance improvement.

Richard brings to BHI a wealth of nuclear maintenance and construction expertise, with extensive experience coordinating complex activities with strict time and budget constraints.  He comes to BHI from Entergy, where he worked a combined 18 years in a variety of Projects and Maintenance roles.  He worked five years within Entergy South as Manager of Projects & Maintenance Services, Work Week Manager and Maintenance Services Superintendent.  Prior to that he worked over 13 years at Palisades Nuclear Plant, holding several Maintenance, Modifications and Mechanical Supervisory positions.

Prior to Entergy, Richard worked for American Electric Power (AEP) for ten years, first as a Maintenance Mechanic and then as Sr. Quality Control Technician and Quality Assurance Auditor.

Richard started his career in with the U.S. Navy, where he was part of the Nuclear Power and Machinist Mate Schools, as well as the Nuclear Power Training Unit.  He has completed extensive industry training within the Entergy and AEP utilities, including First Line Supervisor, Auxiliary Operator, INPO Supervisor (First and Second Line), INPO NDLS, INPO Instructor, PMP Certification, Lead Auditor, Electrical, and several others.  He reports to Mark Manley, Acting Senior Vice President, MMC Division and is based out of the West Palm Beach, FL office.
