Drew Brunmeier Joins BHI Energy as Director of Safety and Human Performance Aug 2018 BHI Energy (BHI) announced today that Drew Brunmeier has joined the organization as the Director of Safety and Human Performance. In this role, Drew will be responsible for leading a wide range of activities related to BHI’s Safety initiatives and Human Performance programs. He will develop, manage and implement BHI safety programs for the prevention of industrial, motor vehicle, and/or workplace accidents; ensure that BHI is in compliance with all federal and state safety laws including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). He will also identify agency safety training needs and develop safety training programs to reduce employees’ exposure to injuries; and conduct safety training and quarterly safety meetings. Drew will collaborate with the Business Units to eliminate or reduce employee exposure to hazards in the workplace; and conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA. Drew brings more than seventeen years of Health & Safety experience in power generation and industrial fields to BHI, and holds a BS in Occupational Health & Safety from Columbia Southern University. Starting his career as a paramedic/fire fighter, Drew has served as an Onsite Paramedic/Safety Coordinator on plant site, Project Safety Manager, HSE Manager, and most recently worked as the Corporate Safety/Training Director at Thompson Construction Group. Drew is based out of the Piedmont, SC office.
