Steve Robitzski Joins BHI Energy as Sr. Vice President, Engineering Services, MMC Division BHI Energy (BHI) announced today that Steve Robitzski has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of Engineering Services, MMC Division. Among his current duties will be successful implementation of the Engineering & Construction Alliance with BHI Energy and ENERCON that will be responsible for large capital project development and implementation at nuclear facilities. Before joining BHI, Steve was a Vice President for NextEra Energy, Inc., a leading clean energy company. In this role, he was responsible for nuclear and special projects for the nuclear fleet of five sites, comprised of eight nuclear power plants. Starting with NextEra in 2008, Steve held roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Director of Construction, where he led the construction of all capital projects within the fossil construction division, as well as the implementation of a Extended Power Uprates of the St. Lucie and Point Beach Nuclear Power Plants. He also served as Senior Director of Engineering for new nuclear projects and led the engineering, construction and startup of the company’s new nuclear plant development. Prior to NextEra Energy, Steve was a member of the senior leadership team at PSEG’s Salem and Hope Creek facilities. As Corporate Engineering Director, he was a key member of the team that created a corporate support organization for PSEG’s nuclear assets. In addition, he held various positions at PSEG, including Outage Manager and Engineering Director, served as Chairman of the site Safety Review Committee and Plant Health Committee, and led the offsite Emergency Response Organization. He also completed a Pressurized Water Reactor systems course at PSEG’s Salem facility. Earlier in his career, he received his Shift Test Engineer’s certification from Newport News Shipyard and was responsible for conduct of construction, pre-operational and startup testing for various new construction submarines for the U.S. Navy. In addition, he served as a commissioned naval reserve officer for the U.S. Navy and a Third Assistant Engineer in the U.S. Merchant Marine. Steve has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y., and a Master of Business Administration degree from Widener University in Chester, Pa. Originally from Staten Island, N.Y., he formerly served as president of a local youth soccer league, on a corporate diversity council and a corporate Political Action Committee.
