BHI was contracted by Fluor Nuclear Services to support the piping replacement and overlay cladding of the turbine building Flow Accelerated Corrosion (FAC) piping project. With challenges of an aggressive schedule, safety concerns and a limited supply of local craft labor, BHI was tasked with a goal to complete the replacement including the machining scope, ID cladding of the 30” header and 30” existing piping and all of the ID weld build ups. BHI provided supervision, a highly experienced nuclear field team and new welding technology to the project. Working closely with Fluor and PGE, BHI offered upfront project planning and a strategic full service approach to successfully deliver the project schedule, quality and safety goals.
