BHI was contracted with a large international refinery to perform repairs to the weld between the body of a N9 nozzle at an elevation of approximately 190ft. BHI provided engineering solutions, automated welding, project management, supervision, certified welders, quality control and technical personnel to complete new nozzle design and repair. Our automated weld systems were used to install a temper-based carbon steel build-up, restoring the pressure boundary and allowing the fractionator to return to service, ensuring community safety and plant reliability.
