BHI was contracted with a U.S. oil refinery to return a sphere vessel to service.  BHI used automated GMAW welding equipment and ASME code-approved procedures, a detailed executive plan created by project management and provided supervision, certified welders, quality control personnel and field technical support to the project.  To return the vessel to operation, BHI repaired and inspected 15 through-wall perforations, performed a UTT inspection to define the weld area, grit blasted the area to a white metal finish and installed approximately 1,800sf of carbon steel build-up to restore wall thickness.  Contact us to learn more.
