BHI Energy was contracted by the largest coal-fired plant in Missouri to safely move and replace 28 super heat modules while working in a congested, multi-level, confined space with low radial clearance.  BHI trained a crew of 48 local welders to use our automated orbital welding equipment and provided a technical team and project management, which developed a detailed execution plan for removal and rigging.  During the project more than 3,200 welds were installed with a 25% smaller crew size than required for a manual application.  BHI’s successful approach resulted in reduced labor, cost, human error and safety risk.  Contact us to learn more.
