BHI was contracted with a Gulf Coast Refinery to complete an automatic weld overlay of 5,000 sq ft to the entire hemispherical head and side wall in a vacuum tower. BHI provided staffing and project management to increase productivity and utilized our proven technique of meeting desired chemistries with a single pass of weld metal overlay to significantly reduce the overall cost and schedule of the project. The project was completed on time with no safety incidents and no quality issues. The refinery was highly complimentary of our work and professionalism meeting all goals for the project (safety, quality, cost and schedule).
