Darren O’Hare Joins BHI as Director of Operations, Power Generation

BHI Energy (BHI) welcomes Darren O’Hare to the organization as Director of Operations for its Power Generation business.  In this role, Darren will provide stakeholder management of assigned nuclear and non-nuclear clients for safe and effective maintenance, including but not limited to, valve and I&C services. He will be responsible for building and maintaining positive client relations with executive management, ensuring needs are met in the areas of project milestones, performance and production.

Darren brings to BHI a robust career in project management within the Energy Sector, with experience in generation, distribution and transmission.  He came to BHI from Cupertino Electric, where he worked as Senior Project Manager for the Renewables Division, focused on a 200 mw solar array with a 973-acre footprint.  Prior to that, Darren worked for Duke Energy for five years in various project management roles where he managed green and brown field projects for the transmission group, CCP water redirect and ancillary projects for the power group, and storm governance/risk assessment projects for the distribution group.  He also worked for Xcel Energy as a project manager within the transmission group for one year, where his portfolio included more than $180M in projects.

Darren holds various qualifications and certifications within the nuclear industry, some of which include OSHA 10 Card, P6 Certification, FEMA ICS, and Duke Energy Project Management Center of Excellence.
