Water Stop Repair

BHI restored a deteriorated water stop in the seismic gap between the Turbine and Reactor buildings at Entergy’s Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant.  The scope included Concrete Shaving to remove a 30ft long bulge in the reactor building wall presenting an obstruction to the polystyrene removal in the seismic gap.  Concrete surface preparation and restoration of the integrity of the seismic gap water stop prevented further water in-leakage. BHI used the UltraFlex epoxy formula used for enhanced flexibility within a wide temperature range.  This coating technology is applicable to waterproofing buildings and structures in a variety of industries.
