Point Beach Nuclear Plant consists of two PWR units located on Lake Michigan, 36 miles southeast of Green Bay and 102 miles north of Milwaukee.

The site is owned and opeated by NextEra Energy.  The units were put into service in 1970 and 1972 and generate 1180 MW.

Outage Shutdown is 10/7 for approx. 25 days.  Main report dates are 10/2 & 10/3.  Please call your recruiter to verify any report dates.

Directions:

  • Go about 10 miles north of Two Rivers on route 42.
  • Turn right in Nuclear Road (East toward the lake).
  • Go approximately 1 mile turn left on to the site, the turn is marked with a lighted sign.
  • Follow the road to the right at the 15mph sign.
  • Parking areas are located on the right side of the road in the gravel lot prior to the stop sign and north of the energy center.
  • The Training Building is the 2 story building on the left as you drive in. Parking around the training building is for FPL employees only.

NEXTERA Covid Policy

At this time if you are fully vaccinated, you do not need to wear a mask.  Employees must wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated.  If not vaccinated, employees must test weekly.
