Urenco USA (UUSA) is the only operating commercial enrichment facility on US soil and is located in southeastern New Mexico near the Texas state line, 22 miles south of Hobbs, NM, 138 miles southwest of Lubbock, TX, 240 miles east of El Paso, TX.
The site is operated by Louisiana Energy Services and entered operation in 2010. UUSA’s production represents approximately one-third of the US annual demand for uranium enrichment services in the fuel supply chain for nuclear power generation.
